Isilon's 5th generation clustered storage solution is a highly versatile scale-out storage architecture built to meet the ever increasing demands of enterprise file storage. Isilon IQ is designed for scalability, performance and ease-of-use, allowing you to seamlessly grow your storage as you grow your business.
By combining Isilon's revolutionary OneFS® operating system software with the latest advances in industry-standard hardware, Isilon delivers modular, pay-as-you-grow, enterprise-class clustered storage systems that offer unprecedented storage scalability and performance, while dramatically reducing the cost and complexity of storing, managing and sharing file-based information.
Once an Isilon IQ Accelerator node has been racked, it takes 15 seconds to join an Isilon IQ storage cluster and dynamically boost total cluster throughput and overall cluster performance. In contrast to traditional storage systems, which require customers to manually add and provision expensive file server heads or additional stand-alone "island" devices to increase performance of their NAS or SAN storage, the Isilon IQ Accelerator delivers unmatched total aggregate performance from a single expandable file system and cluster. The Isilon IQ Accelerator enables clusters to quickly scale to an impressive 6 Gigabytes/second of aggregate throughput at a fraction of the cost, operational complexity and rack space of traditional storage.

Clustered Architecture Truly distributed, fully symmetric clustered architecture that combines modular storage nodes with Isilon’s intelligent software.
Modular Design -Self-contained nodes include server, software and disks in a 2U rack-mountable node.
Distributed File System - The fifth generation of Isilon® OneFS® distributed file system. Creates a cluster with a single file system and single global namespace.
High-Availability - No single point of failure. Self-healing design protects against disk or node failures. Includes backend intracluster failover.
Scalability - Initial cluster set-up in under 10 minutes. Add new nodes for performance and capacity in 60 seconds.
Protection Levels - FlexProtect-AP file-level striping with support for N+1 through N+4 and mirroring data protection schemes.
