The FAS2040 provides customers with double the performance of any existing NetApp FAS2000 storage system and increased storage capacity of up to 30%. This makes it ideal for handling workloads in Microsoft Windows consolidation and virtualized environments.

The FAS2040 provides versatility with integrated block and file-level data access, intelligent management software and advanced data-protection capabilities. It can be supplied with either internal SAS or SATA drives. The NetApp FAS2040 is capable of running the full suite of NetApp software and can be used as primary or secondary storage for both block and file storage over Fibre Channel and Ethernet networks.
