The FAS2050 is a scalable iSCSI/FC SAN/NAS storage appliance with up to 104TB capacity.
The NetApp FAS2050 system provides great versatility with integrated block and file-level data access, intelligent management software and advanced data-protection capabilities.
It can be supplied with either internal SAS or SATA drives. FAS2050's are capable of running the full suite of NetApp software and can be used as primary or secondary storage for both block and file storage over Fibre Channel and Ethernet networks.
The FAS2050 is a cost effective system which has been designed to push the threshold of high storage density in a small space, increase connectivity options and improve manageability in the SMB market place. The FAS2050 has dual controllers and disk drives integrated into a single chassis and has lead offerings for iSCSI and RemoteOffice/Branch Office (ROBO) market segments.

With up to 15TB of integrated storage capacity and dual active controllers in a compact 4U form factor, the FAS2050 easily scales up to meet growing enterprise demands by simply adding up to six DS14mk4FC and/or DS14mk2AT expansion shelves. With this ability, the FAS2050 can scale up to 104 drives and 104TB of total storage.
